Jazz Band Auditions

Students wishing to audition for the Hillcrest Hight School Jazz Band must successfully complete an audition. The audition consists of three scales- one octave minimum selected from the provided list, extended range preferred, and a prepared etude listed below. Drum set players must demonstrate proficiency in at least two styles on the patterns listed.

Students interested in the new Hillcrest Jazz Combo must also complete an audition.

Auditions will be in-person in the band room. Date and time will be announced closer to auditions.
