Meghan Miller

Director of Bands

Ms. Miller holds both her BA (2016) and M.Ed. (2018) in Music Education from Auburn University. While at Auburn, she studied clarinet under the direction of Dr. David Odom, performed with the Auburn University Symphonic Winds and the Auburn Community Orchestra as the principal clarinetist, and served as the clarinet section leader of the Auburn University Marching Band for two years. She also performed with the Alabama Intercollegiate Band in 2013 and 2015 under the direction of Colonel John R. Bourgeois and Dr. John R. Locke, respectively, at the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference.

While pursuing her Master's Degree, Ms. Miller served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands. During this time, she studied conducting with Dr. Corey Spurlin and Dr. Rick Good and had the opportunity to work with numerous ensembles at the University.

Ms. Miller's professional affiliations include membership with the Alabama Music Educators Association, the National Bandmaster's Association, the National Association for Music Education, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Service Sorority, Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Service Fraternity, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.

Chase Moore

Associate Director of Bands

Originally from Fayette, Alabama, Chase first attended The University of Alabama where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. While attending the university, Chase marched with the Million Dollar Band where he also served on the leadership team for three years as a section leader. He played in all of the university’s bands on various instruments, played with The University of Alabama Trombone Choir, and was treasurer for the University of Alabama Trombone Studio.

Chase Moore recently graduated from Auburn University Master of Music Education Degree at Auburn University where he is also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Auburn University Bands and Auburn University Music Department. Prior to coming to Auburn, Chase served as Director of Bands at Duncanville Middle in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. During his time there, he oversaw the creation of the school’s first independent band program and doubled the enrollment of the program from its original initiation. He also served as the school’s School Site Technology Leader, taught professional development to faculty both school and district wide, served as a Schoology Blended Learning Coach, and participated in new teacher panels to mentor other new teachers. Chase also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Winds as Webmaster.
